Tornado Victims Get a Hand from AmeriCorps Members
More than 50 AmeriCorps members pushed up their sleeves to help in the rebuilding of a Habitat for Humanity house in Glade Spring on Oct. 22 (Make a Difference Day). The service event was held in conjunction with the AmeriCorps program launch events in Southwest Virginia on Oct. 21, Robert E. Wone Award for Exemplary Service winner Samuel C. Crawford coordinated the service project which helped reconstruct a home that had been destroyed by a tornado six months ago. Read more about the project.
