VANNO to Host Town Hall Meeting at the Conference
In partnership with the Virginia Department of Social Services' Office on Volunteerism and Community Service, the Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations (VANNO) is hosting a Town Hall meeting, April 23, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. In 2006, VANNO hosted similar Town Hall meetings to assess the needs of the nation's so-called "third sector." That grassroots effort identified three major priorities for the sector: service delivery effectiveness, advocacy and grassroots activity, and public awareness and support. This Town Hall meeting will be one of seven to be held across the state in order to follow up on the 2006 meetings and identify ongoing additional concerns and needs. Nonprofits of all sizes are encouraged to participate.
