Willie Duester serves in a program that provides public safety in his community. He enjoys assisting senior residents in the nearby apartment complex and encourages them to get out in the community. He also serves on the AmeriCorps Emergency Response Team where he coordinates logistical support. Willie has cerebral palsy. Play video [4 MB]
Sarah Neighbors enjoys working with kids in her AmeriCorps program. She works with at-risk children while tutoring them in a local Head Start program. The students have learned that anything is possible by modeling Sarah's positive attitude. Sarah ultimately plans to work with pre-school children as her future career. Sarah is blind.
